In response to different situations and life events, it is normal for everyone to feel upset, sad, worried, or to experience other difficult emotions. For most people, these feelings tend to be only temporary in nature and are typically resolved without any long-term issues. However, for some individuals, these negative emotions can worsen over time, resulting in what can become a devastating mental health condition, such as anxiety, depression, stress, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These can ultimately have a negative impact on a person’s well-being and quality of life.
